Richard Kingsbury

Managing Director

Richard joined Kingsbury in 1988 from Index Werke, where he worked for five years in Germany and the USA. He became the Managing Director of the Machine Tool Company in 1993 and is a member of the Board of the Kingsbury Holding Company.

Peter Kingsbury

Operations Director

Peter joined Kingsbury in October 1998. Previously he worked for Delphi Diesel Systems for six years on completion of a BEng Honours degree sponsored by the company. Peter is the Operations Director for the business and is a member of the Board of the Kingsbury Holding Company.

Richard Hughes

Sales Director – MTG

Richard has a wealth of experience in the machine tool industry, gained through roles in engineering, product management and project engineering. He joins Kingsbury having spent eight years as Technical Director at a Midlands-based multi-agency machining centre and lathe distributor.

Graeme Thomas

Business Development Director – LPM

Formerly a Key Account Director with a Midlands-based multi-agency distributor, Graeme has a solid background in the supply of machining solutions particularly high value, long gestation projects. An experienced engineer, he has in-depth knowledge gained from working with the automotive and aerospace sectors, as well as other industry applications involving large engineered components.

David Mcgrath

Finance Director

David joined Kingsbury Machine Tools Ltd in 1999, having gained 20 years of experience as an Accountant and Administration Manager, before becoming the Financial Director of the Company in 2001.

Ian Deacon

Regional Sales Manager – LPM Midlands and the North of England

As Regional Sales Manager, Ian is responsible for business development and managing key accounts, supporting customers using Large Prismatic Machines in the Midlands and North of England. Previously with DMG Mori, Ian brings to his role over twenty years’ of machining and machine tool experience, gained through working in various roles from applications engineering to project and sales management.

Mark Turner

Area Sales Manager – South West of England

Mark is an experienced applications engineer with an in-depth knowledge of cutting tools, having worked with a range of machine tool vendors before joining Kingsbury. Previously, Mark worked for a turning subcontractor, where he became skilled at programming and operating many different types of multi-axis CNC lathes.

Phil Roberts

Area Sales Manager – Eastern England

A mechanical engineer, Phil has over 15 years’ experience in the machine tool industry, both in the sale of capital plant and tooling and in the specification and purchase of machines and manufacturing systems. As Area Sales Manager, his focus is on the company’s portfolio of smaller machine tools, namely 3- to 5-axis machining centres from Hermle and the CNC lathe programme from Index and its subsidiary, Traub.

Alan Robinson

Area Sales Manager for the North of England

A time served engineer, Alan has in-depth practical experience in production engineering gained through working in a range of roles within different companies. Qualified in advanced CNC programming, Alan subsequently moved into sales and brings with him seventeen years’ experience in selling machine tools, including CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal machining centres.

Martin Blakely

Business Development Manager – Northern Ireland & Ireland

A qualified engineer, Martin has a wealth of experience including specialist knowledge in CNC machining, gained through working for many of the world’s leading machine tool brands. Over the last 28 years, he has led and worked on large machining projects to introduce new machining processes into OEM and sub-contract manufacturing companies covering diverse applications, from the aerospace and automotive sectors to medical implants and devices.

Dean Kiefer

Business Development Manager – Grinding Technology

Dean has over 25 years’ experience working in aerospace and industrial manufacturing, providing production solutions for turbine components requiring 3 & 5 axis creep feed / Viper grinding processes and EDM die sinking solutions. He has engineered a range of NPI to full production processes involving Project management, machine selection, design justifications, production planning and CNC programming.

Ryan Lakin

Senior Applications Engineer – Grinding Technology

Ryan is an established engineer with experience gained initially through working in the aerospace industry and subsequently in fulfilling practical and technical roles covering multiple aspects, from setting machines through to new process development. His specialist expertise and knowledge in CNC grinding includes 3- and 5- axis creep feed/viper processes, EDM die sink processes, programming in multiple languages and working with Heidenhain and Haas-developed Horizon software as well as ISO.

Robin Matthews

Service Manager

Robin has been a service engineer on CNC machines for 17 years and sees his recent change in role to Service Manager as a welcome challenge. He is responsible for the daily running of the service team and looking ahead to plan and cater for their customers’ requirements.

Cliff Barber

Product Manager – Milling

Cliff has 30 years experience in the Aerospace industry progressing through to a managerial position. He started at Kingsbury in 2007 as an Application Engineer and in 2013 was promoted to Product Manager – Milling.

Steve Burrows

Senior Applications Engineer – Large Prismatic Machines

Prior to joining Kingsbury, Steve spent 17 years working as an applications engineer and product manager for a range of machine tool vendors. Through his many years of experience, Steve offers a considerable depth of knowledge spanning machine tool operation, applications and sales.

Andrew Young

Product Manager – Turning

Prior to joining Kingsbury in 1998, Andrew worked for sixteen years in production engineering at a sub-contract company, going from the tool room through to Cam autos and onto multi axis INDEX CNC machines. Initially appointed as Senior Applications Engineer to work on all products in the INDEX portfolio, Andrew has since been promoted to the position of Product Manager – Turning.
